Falling Suddenly | A Poem by Ananya S. Guha

I know that this summer
you have flown, flown on wings, and you admonish
that parting is longing
remember how childhood holds tentacles, whispers in
the wind of incredulous surprise, latch on to your
webbed feet, for you might be airborne, fall suddenly.
