Poems and Poetry

Dissolving | A Poem by Scott Thomas Outlar

I’m going to write a song tonight
about waves in the ocean
and sunrays of light

Sugar in my blood goes straight to my mind
driven by my heart
and surging up my spine

Talk about it mostly but when you going to act
words, words, words
won’t you get to the point

of relaxing
I’m dissolving
into thin air
moist with comfort
start the rising
when I’m One
with All
and swept away
