There’s so much I can’t tell you
It’s not that I don’t want to
It’s just that
It will never come out right
So I sit on my hands
Holding it all in
Hoping one day
You’ll give me the nod
Then I’ll let some out
Maybe while having coffee
Or on the park bench in early spring
I want to release my secret thoughts
You’ll take good care of them
I know that about you
