Poems and Poetry

Hollywood | A Poem by Robin Wyatt Dunn

bailiwick
brittle bare and bowed
beautiful and dying
bailiwick
long low and loved
bemused and dead inside
bailiwick in southland town

break out

bailiwick break out
of your silver screen

break out and pour the money out
onto the street
into our mouths

bailiwick break out
break out get out of town
bear slow and better bitter the terrible litter of your truth so long
ignored
bear out

and sing

it won’t be a long goodbye
